Successful Completion of Women’s Breast Cancer Detection Camp held on 13th July, 2026
In the series of Women’s breast cancer detection Camp, one more was held in the month of July 2026 on the 13th of July, This Camp has some special significance as it is held in the memory of Trust’s Founder Trustee, Dr. V.R.Prabhu. His children fondly remembered their father and a mandate was given to the GSBS Medical Trust to organise this program annually.
It is customary to register 24 patients in advance and each one is given a particular timing for check up, according to her convenience, The patients start coming to HealthRakshak by 8.30 in the morning.
The first stage of check up is Dental for which Dr.Aniket kamat, Dr.Dhruvi Sanghvi and Dr Pratik Satpute did their service. The second stage is to meet the Gynaecologist. Dr.Mini Sanghneria , Dr.Bhagyashree, Dr.Mira naik and Dr.Babita Patke took up the assignments to do Papsmear, and breast checkups. The third stage is for Mammogaphy of the patient, where in the films are checked by Radiologists, Dr.Gauri Amonkar and Dr.Ritesh Dalvi.
This is a time consuming check up. As a result by the time all 24 patient complete their check ups it I s nearly 4 PM. With in a few days the patients are given their report and in case the Radiologists have doubt in the report the patient is called for a further sonography test.
It was heartening to meet Mr. Mrs. Jagannath Prabhu, Son of Dr. V.R.Prabhu and Mrs. Sushma Shenai, the daughter of Dr V.R.Prabhu present to meet the Camp participants and the staff members. They all appreciated the work done at the Medical Trust.
Medical Trust is happy to organise such camps. This public service activity is very important work for the GSBS Medical Trust to undertake.
