Stress Test - GSBS Medical Trust Mumbai

A stress test provides information about how your heart functions during physical stress.

Why is it done?
Your doctor may recommend this test if you have symptoms of a heart problem, such as shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, and a rapid or irregular heartbeat.

Some heart problems are easier to diagnose when your heart is working hard and beating fast.

During a stress test, you exercise (walk on a treadmill or pedal a stationary bike) to make your heart work hard and beat fast.

Please check the centre closest to you to see if a Stress Test is available:

You might have arthritis or another medical problem that prevents you from exercising during a stress test. If so, your doctor may give you medicine to make your heart work hard, as it would while exercising. This is called a pharmacological stress test.
