In its series of Women’s Cancer detection camps, one more camp was held on Tuesday the 12th of May 2025. The Sponsor Dr. Niranjani Nayak and her Brother Sri Vishwanath Acharya jointly sponsor this program every year in the memory of their late parents Smt. Kamakshi Acharya and Sri Janardhan Acharya. The Medical Trust is grateful to their initiative in sponsoring this program, an act of gratitude to their parents.

These camps are held by the GSBS Medical Trust every alternate month for women above 45 years of age, not only for the detection of Breast Cancer but also for the detection & awareness of Cervical Cancer and Oral Cancer.

As the program goes, the camp was well arranged by the Trust’s employees. All the registered patients (only 24) were given their timings for checkup according to their convenience so they do not have to wait for their turn to come. Each patient has to pass 4 stages. The dental checkup was done by Dr. Shalini Rupnarayan, Dr. Swati Satpute & Dr. Pratik Satpute. The next stage was to meet the Gynaecologist for Cervical Cancer checkup. Dr. Nutan Pai and Dr. Mira Naik did this checkup and patiently answered all the queries by the patients.

Mammography on each patient is time-consuming and technicians have the skill to conduct this. The Sonologist Dr. Ritesh Dalvi did the reading and the results were given to the patients within 5 days. This service by the Medical Trust is well appreciated by all.
