10th November was one more Cancer Detection Camp for the ladies organised by the GSBS Medical Trust. These camps are held every alternate month for the detection and awareness of breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer.

As decided, 24 patients were checked and it was a well managed camp. Each patient is given a time for the check-up. The camp started at 8.30 in the morning and ended by 4 p.m. Each patient had to undergo 4 different tests. After registration, the patient first sees the dentist for an oral checkup.
Then the gynaecological checkup takes place for cervical cancer. The patient is then taken to the Mammography room for the breast check. The technicians are so well trained that they see that the patient is kept in comfort.

The following doctors attended the patients: Dr. Shalini Rupnarayan, Dr. Swati Satpute, Dr. Gauri Nayak and Dr. Pratik Satpute for Oral checkup.
Gynaecologists who attended the patients were Dr. Bhagyashree, Dr. Deepali Prabhat and Dr. Babita Patke. All 24 patients of the camp were happy to get the checkups done. After the camp, the physicians check the reports and if needed, the patient is called for an X-Ray and the final reports reach the patients by in 2-3 days.

The staff of GSBS Medical Trust manages the entire day’s camp.
