Successful Cancer Screening Camp for Women on 10th March 2025

In the series of Women’s Breast Cancer detection Camp, today’s camp holds the 32nd place. Full attendance of 24 patients was ready for this camp. These camps are held by the GSBS Medical Trust every alternate month for women above 45 years of age, not only for the detection of Breast Cancer but also for the detection & awareness of Cervical Cancer and Oral Cancer.
As usual, they have to undergo check-ups in 4 different stages, so the camp starts in the morning at 8.30 and the final patient completes by 4 in the evening. As each patient is given a timing according to her convenience, there is no waiting period for the patient, nor is there any rush time for the doctors. The Camp goes on very smoothly. The staff at the Centre have been very
efficiently conducting this.
The dental check up is the first stage , which is under the guidance of Dr. Shalini Rupnarayan, Dr. Swati Satpute & Dr. Pratik Satpute. The next stage is the Gynaecological checkup and the Pap smear test. Dr. Bhagyashree and Dr. Mira Naik undertake this responsibility. The Sono-Mammography is done by Dr. Gauri Amonkar and Dr. Ritesh Dalvi. The highlight of this program was the presence of Mrs. Bharathi Naik by request. She was a patient for one of the earlier camps in 2022. There was a doubt about her malignancy, so she was called for another check-up and she was told that she has Cancer of the very early stage. The family was fully supportive and got the operation done. She told the other ladies in the group, how important it is to take care at the early stage. She was hale & hearty and expressed her gratitude to the Medical Trust for organising these camps.

Smt. Gita Pai, thanked Mrs. Naik for sharing her experience and special thanks were given to to GSB Sabha for sponsoring this camp.
