The GSBS Medical Trust, which has grown steadily thanks to the unwavering support of its patrons, donors and well-wishers, has added another milestone to its journey of service. From the humble beginnings laid by its founding doctors, the Trust today operates four centres equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

Recognising the increasing demand for quality dental care and a good ambience, the Trust has recently renovated the Dental section and upgraded the two dental chairs to cater to all dental specialities. On Sunday, 10th August at 10:30 a.m., the renovated dental unit and the dental chairs were formally inaugurated at the Health Rakshak Centre. The donor couple Mrs. and Mr. Shivanand Mankekar, were warmly welcomed by Dr. Suhas Prabhu, President of the Medical Trust, who outlined the various facilities offered at affordable rates to the community.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mankekar emphasised the importance of contributing to society in meaningful ways, noting that such acts bring immense personal satisfaction. Mrs. Laxmi Mankekar had generously donated the dental chairs in memory of Late Shankar Raghvendra Mankekar.

The inauguration ceremony included the traditional ribbon-cutting and coconut-breaking rituals. The Mankekars attentively observed the demonstration of the new equipment and engaged in an interactive discussion with the dental team led by Dr. Pratik Satpute.

Smt. Gita Pai (Trustee & Secretary) conveyed heartfelt thanks to the donors for their generous support and for further strengthening the Medical Trust’s mission of delivering accessible healthcare to all.
