GSBS Medical Trust’s 32nd camp for the ladies Breast Cancer detection was held on the 13th of January 2025. This camp is conducted every alternate month towards the detection / screening and awareness of breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer. This camp was sponsored by Sri Ajoy Prabhu in the memory of his parents Smt Nalini Prabhu & Sri Govardhan Prabhu.

This camp started at 8.30 in the morning and was planned well, appointments to all camp participants were given well in advance. All 25 participants were given different timings for check-ups, as per their preference. By 4.30 p.m., all the patients’ 4th stage check-up was done. It takes about 3-4 days for the physician to go through all the reports and give his / her opinion and then the reports are sent to all participants. All the participating ladies were happy to come for the camp as there was no waiting period . The check-up was done systematically. Similar tests, if done in a private hospital cost no less than Rs.5,000.

The patients for the camp were checked in FOUR different stages. The dentists who attended to them were Dr.Shalini Rupnarayan, Dr.Swati Satpute and Dr.Pratik Satpute. The mammography / sonography was done by Dr.Gauri Amonkar & Dr. Ritesh Dalvi. The gynaecologists who examined the patients were Dr. Gitanjali Belekar, Dr. Nutan Pai, Dr. Mira Naik & Dr. Swapnali Malkar.

Smt. Gita R.Pai, Trustee, attended to the sponsor, thanked all the staff of the centre who organised the camp without any hitch. She spoke with many patients and along with the Supervisor Ms. Neeta Patil escorted to show all the available facilities at the Centre.
