November month’s Ladies’ Breast Cancer Detection Camp was held on Monday, the 11th. This camp is conducted every alternate month towards the detection / screening and awareness of breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer. The full registration of the Camp was done well in advance. Each patient was given timings according to their convenience. As a result, there was no waiting time for the patients. Camp started at 8.30 in the morning and the last patient completed the full check up by 5 in the evening. All 24 patients were happy.

After registration, the patient meets the dentist for oral cancer detection. Dr. Shalini Rupnarayan, Dr. Swati Satpute and Dr. Pratik Satpute were in charge of all the patients. For the Gynaecological check-up and pap smear, Dr. Bhagyashree and Dr. Meera Naik took charge. Mammography was done by the technicians and the results were finalized by Dr. Gowri Amonkar and Dr. Ritesh Dalvi. Dr. Sandhya Kamath gives the final opinion about the patient’s full diagnosis. Patients were very happy to undergo all the stages.

Happier was the moment when Mrs. Shobha visited the Centre and was happy to go around and met all the staff of the Health Rakshak. She was full of praise for the Medical centre activities. Smt. Gita Pai thanked her for sponsoring this program and more for visiting the centre and meeting the patients at the time of the Camp.
