GSBS Medical Trust conducted the 25th camp in the series of Breast Cancer detection for Women above the age of 40 years, on 11th March 2024. With this camp, we have reached a small milestone of ’25’.

It was heartening to see that the ladies had made it a point to participate in this camp from faraway places like Dahisar, Borivili etc. Their enthusiasm to participate in such camps was encouraging for the
Medical Trust. Thanks to GSB Sabha Mumbai for sponsoring this Camp and also spreading the word
that such a camp is taking place at Dadar, under the banner of GSBS Medical Trust. It was a full day camp with participation above capacity, as 25 women participated in the camp.

Typically, there are 4 stages of checkup in this camp which is conducted for the detection of breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer. The dental check-up was done by Dr. Shalini Rupnarayan, Dr. Swati Satpute, Dr. Pratik Satpute and Dr. Aniket Kamat. Gynaecologists Dr. Nutan Pai, Dr. Shonir Pai and Dr. Mira Naik did the checkup, including pap smear. Mammography was done by the technicians. The readings will be done by sonologists and if the doctors sense some doubt, the patients are called for further check-up and are immediately requested to meet the oncologists.

These procedures of the camp are well accepted by the patients and they are very happy.
