In view of the present conditions, GSBS Medical Trust could not hold any cultural programme on International Women’s Day. Instead, the trust held one more special Breast Cancer Camp for awareness and detection, which is much in need and demand.

As mammography and related tests are time-consuming, not more than 25 people could be registered for a full day camp. A video by Dr. Prasad Kasbekar, Cancer specialist, was shown with the intention of educating the visitors about the condition, and was well appreciated by all. Gynaecologists, sonologists and physicians were present at this camp.

For this camp, the group that underwent the tests were teachers from IES School.

Mrs. Vasanthi Gaitonde, who sponsored this camp was profusely thanked for her interest and initiative. She personally met all those who registered for the camp and appreciated GSBS Medical Trust’s arrangements that led to a successfully conducted camp.
