As discussed in the past couple of months about restarting tobacco cessation programmes in schools & colleges, GSBS Medical Trust conducted one such on 10th November, 2022 at Little Angel’s School, Sion.

This event was for 8th, 9th, & 10th standard students. A total of approximately 450 students were briefed in 3 slot session in the school premises. Dr. Chhavi Korrane presented this session with questions at the end of every session. These students actively participated throughout the session. 

We are thankful to the Trustees Mr. Anil Shenoy, Mr. Vikram Bhakta, School Principal Ms. Sai Sudha, Mrs. Dasgupta for giving us the opportunity to conduct this programme.

These awareness programmes will be conducted in many more schools for a better understanding of ill effects of tobacco addiction in any form (cigarettes, chewing tobacco, guthka, khaini, hookah etc.)
