One of the annual programmes of GSBS Medical Trust is to hold a General Medical Camp at its Dharavi Centre. The same was held on Sunday, the 22nd of February 2026.

The ambience was ready by 9 in the morning as registrations started early.
The two supervisors Ms. Sampada Bait and Ms. Pratiksha Patil had planned the camp and arrangements were made well in advance. Pamphlets were sent to the neighboring areas and WhatsApp messages were sent to all patients.

The following checkups were done by the doctors. Dr. Meet Shah, Dr Sarika Bhan, Dr. Shivani Upadhyaya dealt with the dental problems of the patients, Dr Ganesh Avhad advised the large number of patients on skin problems, Dr. Ajinkya Achlare addressed the orthopaedic needs of the patients. Dr. Swara Palekar checked the patient’s eyes and suggested the corrections of their problems as many needed cataract surgery, and finally Dr. Vinayak Pai advised patients on their overall health issues.

This was a very well-organised camp attended by 147 patients. The sponsor guest was the Vice President of the Goa Hindu Association. His presence was appreciated by all staff members. He visited all departments, met the doctors and appreciated the work done by the GSBS Medical Trust staff members which was a great encouragement for them.

Smt. Gita R. Pai, Trustee Secretary, thanked the Goa Hindu Association for sponsoring this program for the last 6 consecutive years. Special thanks were given to all staff members for efficiently conducting the Camp and receiving the patients with a smile.
