Osteoporosis Camp conducted successfully on World Osteoporosis Day

The Osteoporosis Camp conducted on World Osteoporosis Day (20th October 2024) at the Health Rakshak centre was a great success. This camp was held for citizens above the age of 50 years as it is usually seen that bone health starts showing signs of decline after this age.

A total of 30 participants registered for this camp which involved tests such as Vitamin D3, BMD (Bone Mineral Density) and BMI, followed by consultations with an orthopaedic surgeon, a physiotherapist and a nutritionist / dietician. The doctors present for the camp were:
Dr. Ajinkya Achalare (Orthopaedic Surgeon), Dr. Tushar Sawant (Orthopaedic Surgeon), Dr. Aparna Shanbhag (Physiotherapist), Dr. Seema Mahale (Physiotherapist) and Dr. Monal Velangi (Nutritionist & Dietician)

We thank the citizens for taking benefit of this opportunity, and also the doctors & staff for making this camp a success!
