GSBS Medical Trust’s Unit 1 at Dasturwadi, the registered office needed a dental chair since quite some time. Thanks to Smt. Shanteri Nayak and her son Sri Naresh Nayak, who donated a NEW Dental chair in the memory of Nagesh Nayak, who was an Engineer from the prestigious VJTI Mumbai and ultimately became a successful entrepreneur –  the Owner of MYSORE CAFÉ.

On 14th December 2024, Smt. Shanteri Nagesh Nayak invoked blessing from Sri Ganapathi and then proceeded cutting the ribbon & coconut breaking which symbolised the inauguration of the new equipment.

Entire staff was happy to meet the guests. Dr. Aparna Desai, the CMO of the Centre, explained the working of the chair, and also explained how efficient the machine is, to suit the present day requirement. Smt. Gita R. Pai, thanked Smt. Shanteri Nayak and Sri Naresh Nayak for their magnanimous support. She repeated – “No doubt there are many rich people in the community and they have a generous heart to donate. But searching a genuine NGO who will make the best use of the donor’s money is a difficult task”. Mrs. Gita Pai said that an assurance will be given by the Medical Trust and donors will be very happy to see that their donation has gone to the right cause.

Sri Shivanand Shenoy, CAO of the Trust took the guests around to show the entire unit and explained the use of each medical equipment. The staff at the Unit were given special thanks and an applause for their dedication.

The programme ended with light refreshments.
