ONLINE CONSULTATION

GSBS Medical Trust offers online consultation in case of when either the doctor or patient or both cannot meet each other in person. Please find below the procedure in case of each scenario.

Scenario A.

Both the doctor and the patient are in their respective places (homes)

  1. The patient must call the centre and make an appointment for a doctor at a mutually convenient time. Thereafter, the patient will be informed about the appointment and charges.
  2. The Payment will have to be made in advance digitally through NEFT or digital wallets, and the centre supervisor will confirm the payment.
  3. At the appointed time, the patient will initiate a WhatsApp video call to the Trust’s smartphone or the centre supervisor will initiate a WhatsApp video call to the patient’s smartphone.
  4. The centre supervisor will add the doctor to the call and the consultation will take place. The prescription will be sent as a WhatsApp message to the unit’s smartphone which will then be forwarded by the supervisor to the patient’s smartphone.

Scenario B. Doctor is at the centre but the patient is unable to visit.

  1. Patients must call the centre and request consultation with the doctor who is present there. Upon doing so, an appointment with the doctor will be made and charges will be conveyed.
  2. The patient must make the payment digitally to the Trust by NEFT or through digital wallets.
  3. After confirming receipt of the payment, the centre supervisor will initiate a WhatsApp video call with the concerned patient on the Unit’s smartphone and consultation will take place.
  4. After the consultation is over, the doctor will write out a prescription on the Unit’s WhatsApp phone and send it to the patient’s smartphone.

Scenario C: Doctor is not able to visit the centre but the patient is able to visit:

  1.  Patients must call and book an appointment at the respective centre.
  2.  Upon arrival, the patient must make the payment at the counter following which a case paper and receipt will be issued.
  3.  With the patient in attendance, the supervisor will initiate a WhatsApp video call with the concerned doctor on the Unit’s smartphone and consultation will take place. The attendant or nurse at the centre will help with taking heights, weights, B.P., positioning the patient, interpreting the doctor’s queries and orders etc.
  4.  After the consultation is over, the doctor will write out a prescription on WhatsApp and send it to the Trust’s smartphone which will be copied/typed onto the patient’s case paper and given to the patient.
