Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) are a broad range of tests that measure how well the lungs take in and exhale air and how efficiently they transfer oxygen into the blood. Spirometry measures how well the lungs exhale.

Who needs a PFT?
A PFT may be recommended to you if you have symptoms of lung problems such as cough or breathing issues. It may also be recommended in case of some heart related issues.

What you need to do:

1) Schedule your appointment in advance from the centre.

2) A responsible relative or guardian should accompany the patient.

Documents required on the day of test:

1) Patients’ history reports if any.

2) Doctor’s prescription.
